This is a dramatic production, directed by Dan Touchette, that's based on the true story of Helen Keller, a young deaf and blind girl, and her dedicated teacher Annie Sullivan, who struggles to reach into Helen's isolation and bring her into contact with the outside world.

BENEFIT MEAL for the Jamie & Tamara Aho family from 12 to 3 p.m., at Spruce Grove Apostolic Lutheran Church of Menahga. Freewill meal of sloppy joes and pulled pork sandwiches provided, along with sides and desserts.

Jamie Aho of Wadena suffered a severe stroke on Oct. 26, 2023 and has undergone surgeries and rehab. However, the stroke left the left side of his body paralyzed. After nearly 5 months of being in the hospital and rehab center in the Twin Cities, Jamie is now back home in Wadena with his wife and five children. He has therapy and rehab three days a week in Staples.
